Libyan Ambassador to Italy, Omar Tarhouni discussed with African Ambassadors accredited in Rome, the bilateral relations between Libya and African countries and means of enhancing them.

The attendees emphasized the importance of supporting development programs in the countries of origin and provide employment opportunities to reduce trans-Saharan migration flows to Libya, according to the Information Office of the Libyan Embassy in Italy on Tuesday.

The ambassadors also agreed to form joint committees between the African embassies in Rome to study the phenomenon of migration and settle the outstanding issues through peaceful means.
