Abu Salim Municipality launched a campaign Sunday to cut off illegal power lines that violate the electrical grid.
The municipality clarified that the first phase of the campaign targeted shop stores and services in the area of Bab Bin Ghashir and will extend progressively to other areas as planned.
"The step comes in light of the increased loads on the network as a result of the irrational waste of energy by some irresponsible persons," the municipality stated, noting that it also comes within the framework of supporting the state institutions, especially the General Electricity Company.
