The Acting Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Ramadan Abu Janah, confirmed that the government is fully prepared for the elections scheduled for December 24.
In his meeting with the Special Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Stephanie Williams, Abu Janah indicated the GNU’s eagerness to hold elections as the one and only true solution, reiterating its total support to the High National Elections Commission for the success of this national event.
For her part, Williams pointed out the necessity for everyone to work for the success of the electoral process and the relevance of joint communications between the United Nations Mission and the GNU to achieve the desired goals.
