The Arabian Gulf Oil Company announced on Thursday that it had reopened an abandoned well in Mesla oil field, which had been closed for 16 years.

The company explained that it was able to reopen the abandoned well HH86-65 by using the latest techniques of slant-drilling, according to the Information Office of the company, adding that this advanced technology has turned this abandoned well in the oil field of Mesla into a producing one with a capacity of about 3000 barrels per day.
