The Libyan Coast Guard, on Thursday, managed to rescue 99 migrants of various African nationalities who were heading towards Europe on board a rubber dinghy.

The Spokesperson for the Naval Forces Chief of Staff stated that the migrants were disembarked at the Tripoli Naval Base landing point, where they were all transferred to the Anti-illegal Immigration Agency.

The Spokesman also added that the Ubari boat immediately sprang into action having received a distress call, indicating that the crew of the rescue ship displayed their professional skill in dealing with the situation.
