The Spokesman of the Presidential Council (PC) head Mohammed Al-Sallak confirmed Wednesday the release of 83 prisoners from the prison of Mitiga in coordination with the Ministry of Justice and the Attorney General.
"The decision comes in pursuance of resolution 1304, which contains the release of all detainees whose imprisonment have exceeded the legal detention period with no legal actions taken against them." Al-Sallak explained.
The PC had earlier announced the release of dozens of detainees in implementation of the resolution.
