A spokesman for the Salafist Sobil Salam Brigade of Dignity Operation, Ahmed Sultan, said on Friday that the brigade was in negotiations with Chadian gangs to release 5 Libyan drivers after the liberation of 8 others kidnapped by the Chadian opposition group.

Sultan added that the brigade, based in Kufra town, attacked the Chadian gangs in the area of Saif Al-Shajara and liberated 8 out of the 13 abducted drivers, stressing that they are seeking to release the other drivers as soon as possible.

It is worth noting that the drivers disappeared earlier this month on the Libyan border area with Chad called Saif Al-Barli, 300 kilometers from the city of Kufra.
