Customs authorities in Misrata have seized more than 8 million drug tablets before being smuggled into Libya, according to a statement by Misrata Automated Inspection Unit.

The Customs Department explained via its Facebook page that the discovery was made after competent authorities in the port monitored a container coming from India on Sunday after being suspected of having narcotic pills.

The customs officials searched the container and found around 8 million drug pills in addition to an amount of Indian-made juices which appears to be for camouflage.
