The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) announced on Friday the installation and operation of a 500 kva power generator in the Tajoura Distribution Department.

The works included laying 80-meter high-pressure cables, and two high-pressure connections, as well as laying 300-meter low-pressure cables, according to the GECOL official Facebook page.

GECOL indicated that work began in the early hours of Thursday, after the cable feeding the Kilani Mosque area in Arada was damaged, adding that work is continuing to lay a 200-meter low-pressure cable, in order to supply the area with electricity.
