A number of members of the House of Representatives (HoR) confirmed that 49 MPs from different Libyan regions had condemned the war on Tripoli and called for the return of the attacking force to their bases.

The MPs explained that they are in continuous consultations to hold a sitting to demand cessation of war on Tripoli, emphasizing that the war did not derive legitimacy from the parliament.

They also pointed out that the “outbidding” of MP Sayada Yacoubi, who accused the western MPs of procrastination and lack of seriousness to convene a meeting in Tripoli, has negatively affected the consolidation of the MPs’ stances against the war on Tripoli.
