439 people have been killed in traffic accidents throughout Libya during the third quarter of the current year, the Traffic and Licensing Department of the Ministry of Interior confirmed.
In a report Tuesday, the department clarified that injuries caused by road accidents accounted for 891 persons, 491 of them were admitted to hospital.
“Between July and September this year, road accidents have caused material damage worth of 7 million LYD,” the department explained.
