Members of the Coast Guard and Port Security Agency, on Friday, rescued 334 migrants of varying African nationalities.

According to the Navy Chief of Staff, the migrants were attempting to reach European shores in four inflatable dinghies northwest off the Tripoli coast.

The rescued migrants were disembarked at the Tripoli Naval Base landing point, in preparation for the official handover to the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency, according to the Chief of Staff of the Navy, which indicated the commencement of procedures to deport the migrants to their relevant countries.
