The Ministry of the Interior announced on Wednesday the death of 25 members of its demining team, within a two-week period since the start of clearing mines and IEDs, laid by Haftar’s militias in Southern Tripoli.

The Ministry added in a press conference that amongst the dead were engineers specialized in mine clearance, stressing that to date ‘1510’ mines in all have been removed.

The Ministry called on all residents, whose properties may be in the liberated areas, not to rush back blindly to their homes, until they have been given the ‘all clear’ from the authorities, as the explosive devices are highly volatile.
