The Libyan Mine Action and War Remnants Center has reported that 236 citizens have been victims to land mines and booby traps, which have occurred since May 2020 up to March of this year.

The figures include 163 civilians and 73 mine clearing specialists, according to a recent statistical report by the center.

The victims include 93 deceased and 143 wounded, amongst which are 228 male victims and eight females.

The ages of the victims ranged between four years-old, up to 70 years, over the period between May 22, 2020 up until March 28, 2021 in the cities of Tripoli, Sirte, Bani Walid, Tarhuna, Benghazi, Derna, Misrata and Mizda.
