The Libyan Navy rescued on Monday 230 illegal immigrants off Tripoli, who were attempting to make their way to European shores.

This came through a double rescue in which the first managed to rescue 103 immigrants from rubber dinghies, whilst the second operation secured the rescue of 127 immigrants under similar circumstances.

The media office of the Libyan Navy stated that the migrants were disembarked at the Tripoli Naval Base, stressing that the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency would follow all the legal processes of caring for the migrants in order to complete procedures for deportation to their relevant countries.
