The International Organization for Migration (IOM) said that 22 migrants have gone missing after their boat capsized in the Mediterranean, off the coast of Libya.

The IOM said it was informed that three boats, carrying migrants and refugees left the city of Zawiya, in the west of Tripoli on Sunday night.

The Spokesperson for the IOM, Safa Msehli, said that the Libyan Coast Guard intercepted three boats on Monday, recovering two bodies, whilst the survivors reported that at least 22 others are still missing at sea, as she put it.
