The 32nd edition of the Carthage Film Festival kicked off Saturday, with the participation of more than 45 Arab and African countries, including Libya.

Libya will introduce 12 films and documentaries produced by a group of young Libyans, including the documentary film "Dunga" by the director Muhannad Al-Amin.

The festival, which runs until November six, will screen around 750 films, with the view to demonstrate the cultural diversity among the region and enhance it through the cinema, according to the organizers.

Carthage Film Festival was founded in 1966 on the initiative of the late Tunisian director Taher Sharia. The festival was organized in Tunisia every two years, but since 2015, it has been taking place annually.
