More than 100 illegal immigrants of different African nationalities have gone missing after their boat capsized off the coast of Khoms, 100 kilometers east of the capital Tripoli, the Libyan Coast Guard has announced.

The Coast Guard added that 279 illegal immigrants of various African nationalities were rescued.

Meanwhile, The Information Office of Libyan Navy said that the boat, Sabratha, arrived at the Tripoli naval base in Abu Sitta after rescuing 262 illegal immigrants. The same boat also rescued 17 migrants who were traveling in a rubber boat off the shores of the city of Khoms, among them were women.
