The Libyan National Center for Disease Control revealed that its latest research statistics had shown that Tripoli registered 78.1% of the total number of positive Coronavirus cases in Libya since the start of the spread of COVID-19 in the country last March.

Tripoli, being the city with the most cases, is followed by Misrata which has registered 15.6% of the total COVID-19 cases, while Benghazi came third by 6.25%.

The statistics of the National Center for Disease Control said the total number of Coronavirus cases in Libya stands now at 77 as of May 26, with 34 active cases, 40 recovered ones and three deaths.

On Tuesday, the center said it had tested 66 new samples and all of them tested negative for Coronavirus, except for two positive ones, who are totally new cases with no prior contact with other COVID-19 patients.
