The National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has issued a circular for all measles control coordinators in all regions on the latest recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO) on how to combat measles, which has spread dramatically in several parts of the country.

The circular signed by the Director of the NCDC, Dr. Bad al-Din Mahjoub, recommended giving patients suffering from measles adequate doses of vitamin A, as well as people who come into contact with the infected person, as a precautionary measure.

The NCDC also stressed in its circular to continue reporting on any suspected case that shows symptoms of the disease, including skin rash or a rise in temperature, in order to determine the extent of the disease and take early measures to deal with the problem.
