The Director of the National Centre for Disease Control Badr al-Din Najjar held a press conference on Wednesday, in the presence of the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF, during which he announced the launch of a campaign to vaccinate more than 2 million children throughout Libya, against measles, poliomyelitis, and rubella.

Najjar said the campaign will target children from birth to the age of 15, in addition to routine daily immunizations carried out by the centre, pointing out that similar campaigns had been conducted before.

“The campaign will target 2 million and 750 thousand children,” Najjar explained, “It will start 8 December 2018 and continue until 15 of the same month,” he added, stressing that all vaccinations are available in the center's warehouses, as well as all hospitals and health facilities.
