The Pharmacy and Drug Control Department of the Ministry of Health warned of two classes of medications produced by the UAE company Julphar after receiving information from the UAE Ministry of Health provides the withdrawal of the two drugs from the international markets.

In a circular statement, the Pharmacy Department's director Khalid Muharj said that the UAE Ministry of Health demanded the withdrawal of Aspirin enteric coated tablet 81 mg, for lacking conformity with the Gulf Cooperation Council standards, in terms of consistency of the product.

Another circular of the Department of Pharmacy included a warning from the UAE Ministry of Health that there was contamination in the Zordyl peppermint mouth wash; and a decision by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority to withdraw the product from the world markets.

For its part, the Ministry of Health advised all users of both classes to stop using them and to consult a doctor for an alternative medicine.
