The Ministry of Health confirmed the reception of the Health Crisis Committee in the southern region on Monday, 13 thousand doses of scorpion antivenins via a local company assigned by the ministry.

"The shipment will be transferred to the medical supply stores of Fezzan branch before being distributed in the southern regions," the Head of the Crisis Committee Abdul Rahman Arish explained through the ministry's page on Facebook.

Arish added that this amount constitutes a strategic stock until the beginning of the summer season, noting that the Crisis Committee will oversee the distribution of doses to all areas of the south.

Dozens of citizens have died in the southern region this year of a scorpion sting, amid the lack of scorpion serum in the region.
