The Director of the Warehousing and Distribution Department of the Medical Supply Authority Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Shamam has denied rumors about the expiration of a shipment of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine.
"The cold chain stores of the distribution department received last October 17, a shipment of vaccine estimated at three million doses that will expire in July 2023," Al-Shamam said.
Al-Shamam confirmed that the shipment was released by the Food and Drug Control Center after undergoing the required laboratory analyzes according to the distribution mechanism approved by the National Center for Disease Control.
He said they are open to any visit by the regulatory authorities to the department's stores to inspect the validity of the vaccine and the storage mechanism.
