The Libyan National Center for Disease Control said Wednesday it had registered a new COVID-19 case after testing 241 new samples from Tripoli, Misrata and Benghazi.

One sample tested positive and 240 others tested negative, the National Center for Disease Control said, adding that its Tripoli Reference Laboratory received 180 samples, while Misrata's lab received two and Benghazi's received 59.

Libya has now 35 recovered Coronavirus cases, three deaths and 31 active cases, thus totalling 69 cases since the start of the pandemic.

Libyan National Center for Disease Control registered Tuesday three Coronavirus cases; two of whom had returned on repatriation flights recently.
