The Libyan Prime Minister, Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah, met with the Head of the National Center for Disease Control, Haidar Al-Sayeh, who said that there is a shortage of operators of Covid-19 test and that the quarantine centers’ workers hadn't received their financial compensations.

Al-Sayeh added on Saturday that the Prime Minister should issue an order for precautionary measures against the spread of coronavirus, while Dbeibah ordered a number of measures to tackle the shortages and financial problems.

Dbeibah reviewed the measures taken by the Health Ministry and Disease Control Center, saying there is a need for a large-scale campaign of vaccination given the availability of vaccines.

On Friday, Al-Sayeh expected that the scientific advisory committee to combat the spread of coronavirus would announce “tough measures” to face the fourth wave of the pandemic and the increase of cases, especially in Tripoli.
