The first conference on Health and Medical Tourism in Djerba concluded recently with the adoption of several partnership agreements between Libya and Tunisia in the field of health tourism.

The event hosted around 150 experts, specialists, and businessmen from Libya and Tunisia, who exchanged views and presented a range of bilateral cooperation initiatives in the field of health tourism, especially in marine areas.

"The conference was an opportunity to enhance bilateral investments in the fields of health and tourism between Libya and Tunisia, and to take advantage of the great potentials available in both brotherly countries," Executive Director of the conference Lotfi Al-Khulaifi confirmed at a press brief.

The Libyan side, represented by Ziad Latif, head of the Al-Mada Group for Investments and Public Relations in Libya, emphasized the need to promote and activate partnerships to support hospitalization in Libya through Tunisian expertise.

The two-day conference was organized by the "L-Ka" organization, in cooperation with the ministries of health and tourism, in addition to the Tunisian-Libyan Business Council.
