Tripoli Medical Center announced Tuesday that the Indian Electromechanical Services company will continue its work in the center until mid-April.

The Director of the Engineering Department in the center, Fareed Al-Gharyani, said the center and the Indian company agreed on extending the work until April 20 after they were promised to receive their financial dues by the Medical Insurance Department.

Fareed clarified that the Engineering Department proposed to the Health Ministry that it is ready to take up the work in the Medical Center if the ministry responded positively to the demands of providing maintenance equipment, financial incentives for the workers and hire more workers.

Tripoli Medical Center announced two days ago that the Indian company had stopped working over non-payment of the workers’ financial dues for more than 20 months.
