Director of the Department of Health Services in Tripoli Sadiq al-Bahilil, clarified that the turnout for the vaccination campaign launched by the Centre for Disease Control had exceeded 95%, praising the role of the media in raising awareness about this campaign.

Al- Bahilil explained in a press statement that the campaign was extended to Sunday on an exceptional basis in all health facilities.

He also expressed his gratitude to the medical staff for their assiduity in ensuring the success of the campaign, noting that some teams worked beyond the regular hours established for the campaign.

Bahilil clarified that the large turnout reflects the good level of understanding and awareness of citizens and the great role of media in this regard.

The vaccination campaign against measles, rubella and poliomyelitis was launched on 8 December in all parts of Libya, targeting around 2.75 million children aged 1 to 15 years.
