Foreign doctors working in Libyan public hospitals will receive a bonus of 75% of their salaries, the ministry of health announced on Thursday.

In a resolution posted in its official Facebook page, the ministry said foreign nurses will also get a 40% bonus.

The new increase aims to motivate the foreign medical staff currently working in Libya and encourage those who left the country to return.

Many foreign doctors and nurses, especially Filipinos, have left the country due to the ongoing political and security situations.
