The Scientific Advisory Committee for combating Covid-19 has insisted that travelers returning to the country should undergo the coronavirus testing and the quarantine restrictions.

In a letter to the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport and the head of the Committee for the Libyans stranded abroad, the advisory committee said that the returnees should be subject to a BCR testing upon their entry to the country, provided that the result comes out negative within a period of three days.

"The returnees should have their temperatures measured at the airports and entering points," the committee added, noting that in the event of any symptoms, the concerned person is to be transferred to the nearest isolation center to undergo the required measures.

It further explained that those who test negative will be subject to home quarantine for a period of ten days.
