The Media Bureau Director in Benghazi Medical Center, Khalil Quidir, has indicated that the emergency department in the center lacks a number of beds and medicines as well as in the pharmacy as it lacks a variety of medications seeing the number of the center’s incomers.

Quidir reaffirmed that the lack includes medications for tumor and blood diseases as well as necessary painkillers and tranquilizers, let alone the antibiotics and other first aid medicines, according to a report by state news agency LANA.

He also said that the computed tomography scanner (CT) and the magnetic resonance imaging device are out of function and need maintenance, which the center cannot cover it financially.
