The First Aid and Emergency Service confirmed the injury of 36 people as a result of the use of fireworks in the celebrations of the Prophet Muhammad's Mawlid (birthday), for this year.

20 of these cases suffered medium to light injuries in their hands and were referred to the Burns and Plastic Surgery Hospital, while the Ophthalmic Hospital confirmed the reception of 10 cases suffering eye injuries, in addition to 6 others treated in private clinics, the First Aid Service explained on Facebook.

This year's celebrations saw a marked decline in the number of injuries compared to previous years after the authorities tightened the import and sale of fireworks, in addition to the procedures established by the Ministry of Interior for the confiscation of these games.
