A new lesson will be taught in Libyan schools, the Ministry of Education has decided.

The ministry stated in a decree that a school subject to teach conduct, discipline and ethics will be added to the curriculum at elementary and intermediate levels.

It explained that the new lesson, to be taught once a week, would be given in the next school year 2016-2017.

The lesson aims to encourage students to advocate politeness, good manners, kindness, cooperation, humane, love, peace and cleanliness.

The ministry pointed out that students should score 50% of the full mark in order to pass the new subject.
