A team from the National Anti-Corruption Commission met Tuesday morning with the President of the Open University and a number of its members at the university's HQ in Tripoli to discuss the latter's experience in the field of distance education.

The meeting reviewed the agreements concluded by the university with some local and international public and private bodies, besides cooperation in online learning.

The parties also discussed the university’s approach to internet-based education through social media platforms and its experience in conducting the open study service to explore the possibility of circulating the system in Libyan universities, in light of the circumstances related to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The university officials had the opportunity to discuss their plan to open the postgraduate studies department (masters and doctoral degrees) at the university and put forward the obstacles facing the implementation of this project.

They also called on the National Anti-Corruption Commission to cooperate and fully support the university to address the problems facing the workflow, find urgent solutions, and discuss future plans to raise the level of performance.
