Minister of Education Othman Abdul Jalil discussed with the French Ambassador to Libya Béatrice du Hellen the aspects of joint cooperation between the two countries in the field of tertiary education and schooling in general.

This came during a meeting held Wednesday at the ministry's HQ in Tripoli, where the two sides discussed a number of topics, including the introduction of the French language in secondary classes.

The French ambassador presented a proposal for implementing a training program to prepare teachers for tutoring the French language and contribute to developing the educational curriculum, in addition to the possibility of the contribution of French companies in printing the textbook.
