The Minister of Education, Othman Abdul Jalil, announced Thursday the completion of the first round examinations of the secondary certificate for the year 2017-2018.

In a press conference at the Prime Minister's Office, Abdul Jalil praised the efforts made by all sectors involved, which contributed to the success of the exam process in the required format, stressing that throughout the examinations, no cases of leaking question papers were recorded, except for some cases of fraud, which were dealt with in a timely manner.

For his part, Undersecretary Adel Juma said that over 52606 thousand students in 170 committees attended the exams, under the supervision of 640 observers.

The number of faculty members and collaborators reached 4020, in addition to 570 people, including, social workers, educational inspectors, and psychologist and health counsellors.

The number of follow-up committees mandated by the Ministry of Education was 560 committee, while the number of service committees included 1172 people, in addition to 1181 security personnel for securing the examinations.
