Libyan experts and specialists took part in a regional training course on education during emergencies organized by the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO).

The course was held via zoom during the period from 23-25 June under the title "Qualifying middle and higher education graduates to practice education profession in emergency situations (crises - conflicts).

The participants included teaching staff from the University of Tripoli and the University of Jafara, in addition to secondary education teachers.

Conflicts, natural disasters, and epidemics are among the main factors that keep children and youth out of school, which makes them vulnerable to abuse and exploitation.

Many organizations around the world have dedicated their work to promote lifelong quality education for all people especially in crisis-effected countries, as education in times of crisis is considered part of the emergency response, in addition to its role in fostering resilience and social cohesion within the community.
