The center of educational curricula and research said Wednesday the first shipment of school books had arrived in the stocks of the Education Ministry, posting on its Facebook page photos of boxes of books.

The Ministry of Education, through the head of the center Al-Taher Habib, vowed that the first shipment of books would be in stocks this week.

The delay of books' availability in schools which opened doors over a month ago caused to controversy among people and government officials, leading to the Public Prosecutor’s arrest of the Minister of Education and other officials on charges of negligence and corruption.

The Libyan Prime Minister Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah apologized to all students due to the delay and said it is necessary to print books inside Libya to end this issue once and for all.
