The Minister of Education, Othman Abdeljalil, said that the success of the secondary school certificate exams this year is a success for the Libyan state as a whole.

In a statement on the Ministry's Facebook, Abdeljalil emphasized that the Ministry of Education is on the right track and that the reforms adopted regarding the exams will be followed by other steps in the curriculum, including filling the gap in some school subjects and raising the efficiency of teachers, in addition to other reforms which will directly contribute to improving the educational process in Libya.

He also assured parents that the latest reforms are in the interest of their children so they could be correctly assessed away from the compliment and favouritism that was going on in the past years, which violated the rights of the talented students due to fraud and lack of discipline, as he put it.
