The Undersecretary of the Education Ministry Adel Jumaa has discussed with education observers and heads of departments at the ministry, the ongoing preparations for restarting schools on 13 June, in the central region, including Al-Khums, Misurata, Zliten, and Qasser Al-Akhyar.

During a meeting held at the Ministry’s HQ in Tripoli on Monday, the participants discussed the final arrangements before sending students of the preparatory and secondary certificate level back to school, as a first stage.

They also looked into the difficulties facing the supervisory offices of the ministry and the precautionary measures set for restarting schools, to make sure they are compatible with the guidance provided by the scientific advisory committee in this regard.

The undersecretary called for mobilizing support and intensifying all efforts of officials and parents, to ensure that pupils are studying in a healthy and safe environment.

The ministry began last March broadcasting classes at local channels after shifting to remote learning as part of its measures to contain the spread of the Covid-19.
