The Ministry of Education said on Monday that classes will continue as normal in schools according to a new health protocol and preventive measures.

Acting Minister of Education Ahmed Bu Khazam said in a press conference that education monitors in all cities have right to suspend studies in any classroom for a week if six students or more in the class are infected with the coronavirus.

If six classrooms or more are closed then the school closes too for a week, according to the ministry’s health protocol.

“The epidemical situation is not disturbing,” Bu Khazam confirms.

The ministry’s new health protocol comes a day after the Education Monitoring Office in Hay Al-Andalus district, Tripoli, decided to suspend studies for 15 days, starting from Monday, January 24, until next February 5, due to the rising number of infections with the coronavirus.
