The Minister of Education, Othman Abdul Jalil discussed with the Special Representative of UNICEF to Libya, Abdul Rahman Ghandour, the mechanism of work of UNICEF and its executive program in supporting the education sector.
The two sides discussed during their meeting on Thursday at the minister’s office in Tripoli the projects carried out by the UNICEF in the educational field in cooperation with the competent authorities in the ministry, including the technical education development project, which is being implemented in cooperation with the National Commission for Technical and Vocational Education, and the management information and educational system program in cooperation with the Information Centre of the ministry, as well as the IOM's programs of work in the public education.
The two sides agreed to hold a joint meeting during the next coming period with representatives of the UNICEF and the relevant departments of the ministry through which the UNICEF will present the projects targeted in this regard and identify priorities for action, in addition to a workshop on the skill acquisition project.
