The radical member of House of Representatives Zyad Daghaim said his parliament and Abdullah Al-Thanni government are ready to provide Egypt with any quantities of crude oil free of charge.

Reacting to Saudi Aramco’s decision to stop shipping refined oil products to Egypt, Daghaim told Egypt’s Al-Balad TV that it’s their duty to provide Egypt with everything it needs without preconditions.

“Our parliament could offer a lot of things to Egypt; we have crude oil that meets Egypt’s needs.” He said.

Meanwhile, the Egyptian newspaper of Youm7 reported that the eastern government of Abdullah Al-Thanni would provide Egypt with its needs of crude oil.

“Libya will not stand idly by while pressure is being exerted on Egypt economically,” a senior Al-Thanni government official told Youm7 on condition of anonymity, adding his government will not forget the support of Egypt to Khalifa Haftar’s self-proclaimed army.

Early this month, Saudi Arabia cut oil supplies to Egypt following the latter’s decision to back a Russian-sponsored UN Security Council resolution regarding the bombardment of Aleppo.
