The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade said Saturday that Libya was interested in buying SSG100 and MC21 aircraft as well as passengers' helicopters from Moscow.

The Russian Ministry said after the visit of the deputy head of the Libyan Presidential Council, Ahmed Maiteeg, and his meeting with the Russian Minister of Industry and Trade, the former expressed interest in buying multi-mission helicopters, TASS news agency reported.

The two parties agreed to cooperate in areas of mutual interest such as health and medicine fields, while the Russian Minister said Moscow "sees a variety of fields to expand trade cooperation with Libya".

The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade said the meeting with Maiteeg reviewed the potentials of the participation of Russian firms in reconstructing Libya’s infrastructure, transportation, energy, agriculture and industry sectors.
