The Prime Minister of the Salvation Government, Dr. Khalifa Al-Ghweil, stressed the importance of development and housing and their significant role in fulfilling the citizens’ ambitions by giving a sense of social stability and raising their living standards.

In his speech at yesterday’s workshop in the Ministry of Housing and Utilities under the theme “through construction and investment, Libya becomes stable”, Al-Ghweil called for reconsidering some of the development projects and outlining the obstacles facing them being the economic essence that pushes forth the economy and development of all countries.

The PM urged the Libyans to put their grudge away so that they can mingle together to make the best use of their fortunes and natural resources and to exert serious efforts to build their future Libya.

On the other hand, the Minister of Housing and Utilities in the SG, Hisham Al-Haj, reaffirmed that the goal of the workshop is to turn Libya from a country that funds its projects single-handedly, to a country that gives way for the private sector to get involved in the fund.

The Minister went on to say that, such involvement can only happen by creating a good environment for the private sector since it is a vital partner to the government in the building process, and by giving a sense of equality between the private and the public sectors. Al-Haj referred in the end to the importance of the cooperation between the banks and the domestic sector.
