The National Oil Corporation (NOC) has said, in a statement, that some unidentified merchants have illegally put the Libyan crude oil for sale in the oil market.

The NOC clarified that it received information from trustworthy sources in the oil market saying that some unspecified brokers and mediators ventured to sell different portions of the Libyan crude oil illegally in the market.

The statement warned that the NOC is to take the needed legal and judiciary measures to confront all the attempts aiming at selling the Libyan oil via illegal commercial bargains, stressing its willingness to claw its way forward in the same manner it had started with decades ago. Thus confirming that it is the only legitimate and legal institution authorized to sell and export the Libyan oil and to import any needed kind of fuel.
