The Ministry of Finance agreed with the Ministry of Labour and the Audit Bureau to form a committee to prepare an economic study for the Libyan market on the basis of which to build the salary scale of employees of government institutions, so as to achieve social justice and create a positive competition among staff.

The agreement was reached during a meeting held last weekend, which included officials from the relevant authorities to review public sector salaries and the minimum subsistence budget appropriate to the current economic conditions and market prices, according to the information office of the ministry.
