The Director of the Information Office of the Administrative Control Authority, Ayman al-Gladi, said Wednesday that the Authority lifted the ban on the Minister of Economy after concluding investigations with him over allegations of corruption at the request of the Anti-Corruption Authority and the Audit Bureau.

In a press statement, al-Gladi explained that the decision does not mean anyhow the closure of the file by the Authority, noting that they have already forwarded some files to the Attorney General on suspicion of corruption, including the supply of livestock for Eid Al-Adha, in addition to other outstanding issues that are awaiting other parties and departments of the ministry to be summoned, including the documentary credits issue.
