The governor of the Central Bank of Libya Al-Siddiq Al-Kabeer met with his counterparts from Morocco, Tunisia, Mauritania, and Algeria on the margins of the annual meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund 2018 in Bali, Indonesia that took place on 11-13 October.

The meetings helped Al-Kabeer discuss coordination with the central banks and the necessary development of infrastructure as well as trade among the Arab Maghreb countries.

They also discussed the need to limit the perils of money laundry and terrorism sponsorship, agreeing on holding annual meetings among them.

The meetings in Bali island discussed economic issues on a global scale as well as the fiscal and monetary policies.

They also discussed using technology for the consolidating of development and for helping the agreed upon policies to take shape on the ground.
